Brookfield Dairy. Although Jennifer Tapper’s main interest is cheesmaking, making goat milk soap piqued her interest after attending a Beginner Farmer’s workshop several years ago. It was a simple, yet intriguing process. Like cheesmaking, it seemed to be the perfect blend of science and art. Jennifer uses all natural ingredients and blends essential oils resulting in complex and subtle scents. She includes oatmeal, cornmeal, almonds, or flower petals to some soaps to add texture and their healing properties. 569-3626 |

Basketmaker,
Theresa L. Hlushuk,
learned the art of basketmaking in 1996 and later was taught the popular
style of the “oval” basket by a close friend. That year everyone she
knew received a handmade basket stuffed with select items...she knew
that she had found her niche! She began designing and crafting various
shapes
and sizes of baskets for shows,
fairs and for commission. Theresa teaches her craft in private lessons
and to the 4th grade children of the Tuftonboro Central School as part
of their Native American curriculum.
